Overripe fruit gives it a dark, almost fermented sweetness, but underneath is where this scent really lives: cool mineral stone, damp soil, old wood, and layers of dry dust. It smells like an old house with secrets built into it. Floorboards, concrete, forgotten corners, and a door that has absolutely no business being locked from the outside.

There’s something familiar about it, especially if you grew up watching horror movies you probably weren’t old enough to watch. It doesn’t smell like fear. It smells like the place where the scary part happened.
